Leave it to a guy named Cliff to gets us all off the ledge.
Thanks, Cliff Lee. We needed that.
Or at least Phillies Nation did. No one was especially thrilled at the prospect of the Phillies returning home for the opener at Citizens Bank Park sporting an ugly 0-3 record.
The left-hander was masterful in shutting down a Braves lineup that had feasted on a diet of Cole Hamels and Roy Halladay. Lee surrendered just two hits in eight strong innings. Jonathaon Papelbon got the save.
Welcome home, boys.
