More thoughts on the Bailey O'Neill case

Last Wednesday night we devoted our 'Live From the Internet' show to a discussion of the Bailey O'Neill case. He's the Darby Township youth who developed some serious medical issues and eventually died after a schoolyard fight.

His family is convinced he was the victim of bullying.

A lot of people in the community hold the same belief.

The difficult thing about this case - aside from the unspeakable tragedy of Bailey's death -  is that the exact facts have not yet been determined. It remains under investigation by the D.A.'s office as they await the results of an autopsy. It's the waiting that might be the hardest part of this case.

I don't know if Bailey was bullied or not. But if his death puts a spotlight on the issue of "bullying" and rallying the community around it, it will be a worthwhile legacy.

I write about it today in my print column.
