You can pretty much set your watch to it.
The Memorial Day weekend is often thought of as the "unofficial start of the summer season."
The weather starts to heat up. So do tempers.
This weekend didn't seem much different. Police here in Delaware County are investigating no less than three separate shooting incidents on Monday.
Out in Lower Chichester, a man faces charges after police say he showed up at the home of his ex-wife, pulled out a gun and tried to shoot her as she stood outside. The woman's boyfriend intervened and wound up getting shot several times at close range.
You can get all the details here.
Out in Middletown, state police are investigating an incident where a 41-year-old woman fired several shots at another woman in a car Monday night. At the time, a child was sitting in the front passenger seat. Another child was standing outside the car when the woman approached and fired through the windshield. The victim drove herself to Riddle Hospital.
And in Chester, two men were wounded in a shooting incident just before 11 ap.m. on the 3100 block of West 10th Street. both men are expected to recover.
