'Live From the Newsroom' tackles the Primary Election in Delco

We are just six days away from going to the polls once again.

I know, you can't stand the excitement.

No, we likely will not stand in long lines next Tuesday to cast our ballots. This is not a presidential election. There's not much in the way of sizzle involved.

Except for this: The municipal primary, where Republican and Democratic voters select their candidates for borough and township councils, as well as school boards and magisterial district judge races, probably has more effect on their lives than the national votes. Delco citizens also will select candidates for county offices, including two seats on County Council, and the three county row offices.

We'll preview the primary election tonight on 'Live From the Newsroom.' We'll be joined by Springfield Republican Chairman Mike Puppio, as well as Democratic mayor Swarthmore Borough Rick Lowe.

We'll talk about what and where the hot races are, the narrowing GOP voter registration edge, and even Joe Sestak's decision not to seek the Democratic nod to challenge Gov. Tom Corbett, instead looking for a rematch with U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey.

Do you have a political question you'd like our panel to address? Email it to me at editor@delcotimes.com and I'll include it in tonight's show. Then make sure you tune in on DelcoTimes.com tonight at 7 to take part in the live chat during the show.

And a reminder: If you don't vote on Tuesday, you forfeit your chance to complain, and who wants to do that! See you tonight at 7! Join the conversation!
