May Day! May Day!
The Phillies decided to get an early start on the traditional calling card for the first day of May. They landed in Cleveland for a quick, two-game interleague series with the Indians last night. It did not go well.
How bad was it. They surrendered 7 home runs. Roy Halladay got scorched again after putting together several decent starts in a row.
If you're looking for a silver lining, Delmon Young made his debut for the Phils and hit a home run in his first at-bat.
Now fans are once again left to decide which team the Phillies really are - the guys who swept the Mets last weekend, or the bunch who got swept at home by the Pirates and last night got blown out in Cleveland.
