Raise your hand if you thought Kyle Kendrick was going to be the ace of the Phillies staff.
Thought so.

Kendrick showed again last night why he's been the Phils' best pitcher so far this year, winning his fourth straight start as the Phillies took a second straight 6-2 win over the Giants on the Left Coast.
Kendrick outdueled Giants ace Tim Lincecum to push his record to a scintillating 4-1. He yielded just two runs on six hits, throwing just 88 pitches to breeze through a solid seven innings. Maybe most important, Kendrick didn't walk a batter, while striking out six.

I know, I know, a lot of readers get irate when we put something online that we don't offer in print. But in this case, it wouldn't have mattered. The 10:15 starts mean we would not get the game into print regardless, so being able to post the story online is a bonus.
