Tale of the tape in Interboro

I'm not a lip-reader.

I'm not positive what former Interim Interboro School Superintendent John Cleghorn said on that now-infamous video clip. I have a pretty good idea.

I actually got a tweet from a longtime county school board member and education activist who suggested maybe Cleghorn was actually mouthing the words "funding cuts" as another board member took objection to a board action.

Cleghorn has denied making the vulgar reference many are attributing to him. Last night the Interboro School Board accepted his resignation. They named Bernadette Reiley, the district's current curriculum coordinator, as acting superintendent.

It's just one more reminder of how much of our lives is being captured on videotape. What once were considered private moments are now being videotaped, and with the click of a computer mouse shared with the world.

Be careful what you say - and do. If it seems like everyone is watching, it's because they are.
