The Odd Couple teams again at Jersey shore

The Odd Couple will be back on the job today.

The country's leading Democrat and one of the top GOP headliners will shake hands at the Jersey shore.

The only thing missing will be a certain fleece jacket.

President Obama will pay a visit to Asbury Park, where he will hook up with New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie for an update on the shore region's recovery from Superstorm Sandy. You can read about it here. Seven months ago, the two made headlines in the wake of the monster storm that wreaked havoc on Jersey shore towns.

No doubt this will once again rankle some Republicans, who don't necessarily like the idea of their possible next presidential candidate making nice with the president.

Everything Christie seems to do these days seem geared toward a presidential run. He's even had gastric bypass surgery in an attempt to get a handle on his weight problem.

But nothing will make him look more presidential than the handshake and hug he will share with Obama in the Jersey shore town that made Bruce Springsteen famous today.

As for the governor's presidential aspirations, it looks increasingly like he is borrowing another page from The Boss.

It certainly seems like Christie is "Born to Run."
