It's been a nightmarish overnight on the Schuylkill Expressway. We have all the details here.
The good news is that the heavily traveled span into the city reopened just before 6 a.m. after being shut down after the crash, which occurred just after 1 a.m.
The bad news is that two lives have been lost.
And while state police continue to try to reconstruct what happened, we are hearing that one rider in a group of motorcycles heading eastbound on the Schuylkill may hav estruck a person on the roadway.
That leads to an obvious question: What was a person doing walking on the Schuylkill Expressway at 1 a.m.?
