A snake in the grass, or at least in Swarthmore

Talk about a snake in the grass!

Snakey, a 7-foot boa constrictor, is on the loose in Swarthmore. You can read all the details here.

It's a local vet's pet snake. He let him out to get a little sun on Sunday and when he went to check on him, Snakey had slithered away.

Most people believe the boa really does not pose any big danger. Boas are not usually aggressive.

As of 7 a.m., Snakey was still enjoying his freedom. It's not his first time on the lam. The last time he went AWOL, the 23-year-old delinquent was found on the campus of nearby Swarthmore College.

If anyone happens to see Snakey, they should contact local police.

There's no truth to the rumor that the town is considering changing its name to Ssssssssss-warthmore.
