Here's today's confession. It's good for the soul, you know.
I was never much of a Led Zeppelin fan. Sure, I loved 'Stairway to Heaven' as much as anyone. It certainly has a spot on my Top 10 list.
But there is something about that band that remains unparalelled. If there is a signature voice in rock 'n' roll, it just might be Robert Plant. Sure, Jimmy Page's guitar work gave the band its edge, and John Bonham's drums its backbone, but it was Plant's voice that was its signature
All of this comes to mind with word today that Robert Plant is 65. I repeat, Robert Plant is 65. God, we are getting old.
A whole lotta luv to one of the great voices of rock.
