Since this is my blog, I think I can safely surmise that you are reading this online.
Of course, many of our most loyal, longtime readers continue to pick us up every day in print. Which is why I found something that happened yesterday so interesting.
Today we unveil our new online home for high school sports. You can find our award-winning coverage of Delco high schools at our new home at GameTimePa. In fact, if you go to the high school sports link on DelcoTimes.com, you'll automatically be routed to GameTime. We're kicking off our coverage today and tomorrow with previews of every Delco high school football team.
All of our coverage of high schools will now be on GameTimePa, where readers also will be able to check out coverage of teams from Montgomery, Chester, Berks, Lancaster and York counties. It's your one-stop home for Pa. high school sports coverage.
What I was surprised by yesterday was the number of calls I received from panic-stricken print readers who somehow got the impression that we were no longer going to offer our usual high school coverage in print.
I assure you that's not the case. When you pick up Friday's paper, rest assured you will find our Football Tab inside, complete with previews of every Delco team.
GameTimePa only affects our online coverage. Come Saturday morning, you will still be able to find coverage of all the Friday night games in the print edition of the Daily Times.
We hope you enjoy GameTimePa. We think it's going to be a huge addition to our award-winning high school sports coverage, complete with standings, boscores, videos and lots of other features.
But we're not abandoning print.
Consider it the best of both worlds.
