Killed for his headphones

Every day in the 'Daily Numbers' feature of the Heron's Nest blog, I run an item called "I Don't Get It."

Christian Massey was a former football and basketball player at Marple Newtown High School. He graduated this past June.

Police say Massey was gunned down in the Overbrook section of Philadelphia, where he was found in the driveway of a home on Lebanon Avenue.

They believe he was killed by a robber who wanted his very expensive Beats By Dr. Dre headphones.

Christian Massey was 21 years old. Those who knew the 6-foot-2, 300-pounder referred to him as a gentle giant.

And he was killed for a pair of headphones.

For God's sake, I don't get it.
