Heavy fog, some ice will slow your commute

Here's an early morning commuter road report: It's going to be very slow going out there this morning because of heavy, dense fog.

It's real simple. It's very tough to see out there, with visibility reduced on my entire drive in.

Complicating things for those in the western part of the county and Chester County is some black ice that is making things very slick.

If you're out in those areas, be careful when you walk out to your car - the sidewalk and driveway could be icy.

The National Weather Service issued a Dense Fog Advisory through 9 a.m. for the entire region calling for visibilities of a quarter mile or less.

The key in terms of any ice you might encounter is what the temperature is in your areas.

There are speed restrictions on most of the area bridges.

Commuters are being advised to give themselves extra time for this morning's commute.

The fog is expected to be in place through this morning's commute before burning off later this morning.

Here's your regional traffic report.
