Hole-y Mackerel!
If you're tired of running an obstacle course while trying to evade those molar-rattling potholes, Delaware County has heard your pleas.
Today county officials will gather - at a pothole no less - to announce a new program to eradicate the problem, and help municipal officials struggling to pay the tab for fixing these pock-marked roads.
County Council will announce Operation PAT, or Pothole Assistance for Taxpayers, at a press conference this afternoon in Ridley Park.
Fittingly enough, the officials will gather around a pizza-sized pothole at Thayer and Barker streets.
Council plans to repurpose Liquid Fuels Funds to help towns fill the holes in their budgets created by potholes.
