D-Day

One thing I learned very early in my journalism career.

Yeah, that was a long time ago.

Don't ever - never - forget the importance of June 6.

It is D-Day. Seventy years ago today, Allied forces stormed the beaches in France, kicking off the Normandy invasion and saving the world as we know it.

Ever wonder why they refer to those people as 'The Greatest Generation?'

This is why.

Here is our editorial honoring those who preserved the world as we know it on that fateful day.

And here's a slideshow of images as the world stops 70 years after to remember the events that occurred on June 6, 1944.
