Never underestimate the resolve of the people of Delaware County.
That would be particularly true to those devotees of that summer tradition in these parts - softball.
Our annual Champs 'N' Charity softball tournament was in danger of taking a sabbatical this year. For a lot of reasons, the tourney we've run for more than a quarter century to benefit the American Cancer Society was in danger. That's when the community got involved.
It's not the first time the people in the lower end of the county have rallied to preserve something that is at the essence of their lives.
