'Live From the Newsroom' tackles Tina Fey and the Upper Darby Summer Stage

Tina Fey is coming! Tina Fey is coming!

In case you haven't heard, the Upper Darby homegirl is returning to her roots Saturday night with a special visit to the place where she got her start in show business - the Upper Darby Summer Stage.

But before she gets here, we plan to beat her to the punch.

We're taking our live-stream Internet show, 'Live From the Newsroom,' to the Upper Darby Performing Arts Center tonight to sit down with the people behind this invaluable community program.

We'l be joined by:

* Harry Dietzler - founder and executive director of Upper Darby Summer Stage - Executive Director of Upper Darby Performing Arts Center.

* Bethany Paxson - an actress and Summer Stage alum who was in the show directed by Fey in her last year at Summer Stage in 1992.

* Brian Dietzler - a teacher in the Radnor School District and another Summer Stage alum. Brian also was in the shows Tina directed.

* Devon Fields, a student at Penn State and another Summer Stage alum. He's the lead in this summer's production of 'Shrek the Musical.'

They will all talk about their memories of Fey, as well as the long list of other Summer Stage alums and what this program - which is celebrating its 40th season this summer - has meant to the Upper Darby and Delaware County community. Join us tongiht for some very personal memories of Tina Fey from those who know her best, the people who worked with her "back in the day" at the Upper Darby Summer Stage.

We'll be live at 6:45 - not our usual 7 p.m. show - because a dance troupe will be on the stage at 7:30. If you have a question you'd like answered about Tina Fey or the Summer Stage, email it to me at editor@delcotimes.com.
