The return of Michael Vick; & a special Eagles preview section

There will be a familiar face at Lincoln Financial Field tonight.

Even if he is wearing an unfamiliar name.

Michael Vick will return to the turf where he resurrected his career. Vick was a pariah when he arrived, fresh off a two-year stint in federal prison for his role in bankrolling a vicious dog-fighting ring.

But from the day he appeared at a press conference with then-Coach Andy Reid and his mentor Tony Dungy, Vick said and did all the right things.

In a word, he was impressive.

That didn't change even when he was released by the Eagles, and he has not sounded a sour note since learning he will be a backup to Geno Smith with the Jets.

I for one will cheer Vick when he takes the field tonight.

I hope I'm not alone.
