I used my print column today to talk about something that many editors try to avoid like the plague - mistakes.
It's true, we make them every day.
But we don't always acknowledge them.
Sometimes, our readers do that for us.
In the 24-hour news cycle that we now are engulfed in, speed is of the essence. It also can be deadly. That's what happened last weekend.
We made a fairly simple - yet still glaring - error on the front page.
But it was something that happened afterward, an email I got from a very special reader pointing it out, that stayed with me.
Thanks, Sister Maggie! I owe you one.
