Remember that prediction I made yesterday that the Packers would thump the defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks in the NFL opener last night?
Forget it. The Seahawks rolled to an easy win. I was banking on the usual post-Super Bowl letdown so many teams go through after capturing the Lombardi Trophy and holding their parade.
I forgot one thing. Seattle is almost impossible to beat in their maniacal home. If only Lincoln Financial Field could even come close to being that loud.
Maybe with the changes, including closing in some of those open corners, it will more approach that zany Seahawks' home-field advantage.
