68,470 votes for Corbett in Delco.

52-48 win for Republican County Council Chairman Tom McGarrigle over Dem challenger John Kane in the hotly contested 26th District state Senate race.

44,870 votes for McGarrigle.

41,544 votes for Kane.

53-47 win for Republican Jamie Santora over Dem Vince Rongione for the open 163rd state House seat.

11,362 votes for Santora.

9,963 votes for Rongione.

70-30 percent blowout win for Dem state Rep. Thaddeus Kirkland over GOP Challenger Michael Ciach in the 159th District.

62-38 percent win for GOP Rep. Steve Barrar over Dem Whitney Hoffman in the 160th District.

56-44 percent win for GOP Rep. Joe Hackett over Dem Leanne Krueger-Braneky in the 161st District.

80-20 percent win for Dem Rep. Margo Davidson over the GOP’s Saud Siddiqui in the 164th District.

65-35 percent win for GOP Rep. Bill Adolph over Dem Chuck Hadley in the 165th District.

63-37 percent win for Dem Greg Vitali over GOP’s Sara Armstrong in the 166th District.

3 Senate seats picked up by the GOP in Pa. They now hold a 30-20 margin. They also expanded their margin in the Pa. House.

7 seats won by the GOP in the U.S. Senate, taking control of that body.

6 in 10 voters under 50 in Pa. who backed Wolf.

50-50 split between Wolf and Corbett in the western part of the state. Corbett ran ahead in the central part of the state. Wolf rolled to huge margins in the east and Pittsburgh areas.

I went 2-for-3 in the endorsement game. We backed Wolf, and McGarrigle, while seeing Jamie Santora get the best of our pick, Vince Rongione. Kudos to Santora.

I Don’t Get It: Why did Tom Corbett wait so long and allow others to paint the picture of him as a craven budget-cutter for a couple of years. He never recovered.

Today’s Upper: Kudos to Tom McGarrigle, who won a brutal battle to replace Sen. Ted Erickson in the 26th District state Senate race.
