The Sixers hit a new low - blown out by 53 points

Here's something for Philly sports fans to ponder on a very cold Friday morning.

Who do you think will win more games in November, the Eagles or the Sixers?

The Eagles already have a head start, having beaten both the Texans and Panthers for a perfect 2-0 mark as they head into the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field to face Aaron Rodgers and the Packers on Sunday.

Then there's the Sixers.

This isn't funny anymore.

In case you missed, the Sixers lost again last night, stretching their futility so far this year to 0-8.

But they didn't just lose.

They got blown out. They weren't even in the same zip code as the Dallas Mavs as they got bludgeoned, 123-70. If this was a fight, they would have stopped it.

Forget the 53-point margin. This one was over early.

It was 38-10 at the end of the first quarter.

It was 73-29 at the half, meaning if the Mavs had not scored a single point in the second half, they still would have won.

What the Sixers are doing, tanking a second straight season in the hopes of gaining the top draft pick as they rebuild the team, is an insult to the proud tradition of hoops in Philly.

Back to my original question.

If the Eagles don't win another game this month, I still think they win more than this putrid Sixers team.

The 1972-73 Sixers gained some measure of infamy by posting a 9-73 mark, a record.

That mark is in serious jeopardy.

That's how bad this team is.
