It may not be the dumbest thing I've ever done as editor of this newspaper, but it has to be right up there. Then again, I guess there are lots of readers who would like to argue that point with me.
If you are going to make a mistake with a phone number, the last one you want to fumble is our always blistering Sound Off number.
Substituting your own for the Sound Off number is not exactly recommended.
But in doing that recently, it gave me a new appreciation for our readers, and a little holiday cheer.
