Eagles need to avoid Lambeau

Here's a tip for the Eagles.

It would behoove you to finish as the No. 1 seed in the NFC. After watching the Packers outduel the Patriots yesterday, I think it's pretty safe to say you don't want any part of a rematch in Lambeau.

The win makes the Pack a perfect 6-0 on their 'frozen tundra.' Of course one of those was a demolition of the Eagles a few weeks back. Both the Eagles and Green Bay are sporting identical 9-3 marks, but the Packers have the tie-breaker with that win over the Eagles. Aaron Rodgers continues to fire on all cylinders. Yesterday he threw for 368 yards and two TDS.

He is the epitome of a franchise quarterback.

That's something the Eagles lack, regardless whether Mark Sanchez or Nick Foles is behind center.

The Birds face the Super Bowl defending champ Seattle Seahawks Sunday at the Linc, then follow that up with a Sunday night rematch with the Cowboys, also in South Philly.

They then have two very winnable games vs. the Giants and Redskins, both of whom appear to be coming apart at the seams.

The Eagles need at the very minimum to win one of these next two. Winning both would be even better as they run neck-and-neck with the Packers and Arizona. It looks like the Cardinals are likely to struggle without quarterback Carson Palmer.

The Eagles need to avoid Lambeau Field at all costs.
