There may be some crucial new information in the hunt for missing college student Shane Montgomery.
Yesterday word surfaced that the 21-year-old West Chester University student was captured on surveillance video from a nearby store as he left Kildare's Irish Pub in the early morning hours of Thanksgiving after a night out with friends.
Montgomery has not been seen since.
There is a daunting aspect to this news, however. The video apparently shows Montgomery heading toward a footbridge that goes over the Manayunk Canal. That sparked a new search on the water there and also on the Schuylkill yesterday by FBI and Philadelphia police crews.
The search in the area will continue today.
In the meantime, Montgomery's family continues to wait and wonder about the fate of their loved one.
