Sanchez vs. Carroll

Mark Sanchez will get reacquainted with an old friend on Sunday when the Eagles collide with the Super Bowl champion Seahawks Sunday at the Linc.

The familiar face standing on the opposite sidelines will be his old college coach at USA, Pete Carroll.

So who has the advantage here? Does Carroll know more about Sanchez's tendencies? Or does Sanchez hold some inside knowledge on how to attack the Seahawks buzzsaw defense led by Richard Sherman.

Sanchez will be the key to this game. He must again control the pace, much as he did against the Cowboys in that Thanksgiving Day rout. Most of all, he must avoid his Achilles heel - turnovers.

The Eagles cannot afford to give the Seahawks short fields via fumbles or interceptions. They must make Russell Wilson drive the length of the field.

A win Sunday could set up the Eagles for something special, maybe even something 'super.' But if they flop against Seattle, all they will have accomplished is another 'must-win' scenario vs. the Cowboys.
