Sight for sore Philly sports fans' eyes: Villanova

How 'bout those Flyers!

Let's go Sixers!

Uh, never mind.

Welcome to the winter of your discontent, Philly sports fans.

With the Eagles now in the rear-view mirror and watching the playoffs along with the rest of us, what do we do with ourselves while we wait for pitchers and catchers to report to Clearwater.

Well, I for one have no intention of investing any time with the Sixers. In case you missed it, late last night your 76ers paid a visit to one of the better teams in the NBA, the Golden State Warriors.

It was about as ugly as you might imagine. The Sixers got waxed, losing by 40 points.

So what is a Philly sports fan to do?

Here's a suggestion. Let's get behind the Villanova Wildcats.

Jay Wright's crew is ranked No. 6 in the nation and kick off their Big East schedule today with a date with Butler at the Pavilion on the Main Line.

This team should be a contender for a Final Four date.

Beats the hell out of waiting for Chip Kelly to "evaluate" his roster.

If you need a hand with that coach, give us a call.
