Maybe Punxsutawney was on to something.
When I got in the car this morning, the handy-dandy thermometer built into the odometer indicated it was a brisk 12 degrees in the driveway.
It didn't get much better after I got out on the road. At one point it went down to about 7 degrees. By my estimate that makes it the coldest morning of the winter.
Better things are coming for the weekend, along with another threat to start off the next work week.
Temperatures are expected to reach the mid-40s tomorrow and might even threaten 50 on Sunday.
Then we have to watch another storm headed our way Sunday night into Monday. Early reports indicate we might again dodge the bullet, as the storm looks like it will deliver snow to northern Pa. and then dump heavy snow again on New York and New England.
