Well, March is turning out to be quite the adventure.
It didn't take long after the sun went down last night for all that melting snow and ice to start refreezing. As I got closer to home, the roads got increasingly slippery.
This morning was a breeze. That's not what concerns me. It's getting home tonight that could be a challenge. In fact, the next few days look like they will put some teeth in that old adage about "March coming in like a lion."
Here's what we have to look forward to: First, we're expecting some snow to start this afternoon, just in time for the evening rush hour. Then will quickly change over to rain as the temperatures rise. Timing will be the key in terms of whether or not this turns into an icy nightmare.
Rain will continue overnight and into Wednesday, as temperatures actually threaten to 50-degree mark.
But don't get your hopes up that spring is about to arrive. Thursday should pretty much put that notion to rest.
That's because we're expecting snow on Thursday - possibly accumulating snow.
