This is what passes for government in this tiny borough.
Here is the latest: It appears Borough Manager Paula Brown is out of a job. After voting once to oust her last week, council met in executive session again last night to officially eliminate the position in what they are calling a cost-cutting measure.
In the meantime, Brown, no stranger to controversy, continues to make all kinds of allegations and basically beg either the county district attorney or Gov. Wolf to get involved and bring charges against borough leaders.
For the most part, District Attorney Jack Whelan is not talking, since the borough apparently is the target of an ongoing investigation.
After the initial vote to oust Brown last Thursday night, she locked herself in the borough offices all day on Friday. She won't have that option any more. Borough officials changed the lock after last night's vote.
And the beat goes on.
