Chester's own Bo Ryan was this close to national championship

The pride of Chester was on full display last night.

And Bo Ryan and the Wisconsin Badgers were thisclose to winning a national championship.

But it was not to be.

Ryan, who starred on Chester High team that won a state title, watched as freshman Grayson Allen came off the bench to propel Duke to a comeback victory in the NCAA championship game.

Wisconsin had a nine-point lead early in the second half, and had Duke big man Jahlil Okafor in foul trouble, but Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski turned to his deep bench for a lift.

Allen might have been the difference in the game.

Ryan was looking to add an NCAA men's Division I crown to his illustrious career, which includes four Division III titles at Wisconsin-Platteville.

Didn't happen.

Still, it's not every day that you get a kid from Chester coaching in the NCAA men's basketball championship game.

Delco still loves you, Bo.
