Something for Philly sports fans to ponder while we try to figure out exactly how - or maybe if - Chip Kelly actually plans to use Tim Tebow.
Across the street, it will be fascinating to see how many fans show up tonight to see two of the three worst teams in Major League Baseball.
The Phillies, at a less than sparkling 4-10, host the Miami Marlins, who actually are one game worse at 3-10.
The only team with a worse record is the lowly Milwaukee Brewers, who check in at a less than lusty 2-10.
I'll put the over/under on tonight's attendance at 15,000.
I'm taking the under.
Maybe the Phils should have Tim Tebow throw out the first pitch. Or better yet give out Tim Tebow bobbleheads. I have to admit I am not sure what Chip Kelly has in mind with the former Heisman Trophy winner. A part of me actually thinks he does some of this just to keep people off guard.
Then again, he knows as well as anyone how much his team struggled in short-yardage situations and the Red Zone last year. The failure to punch the ball into the end zone from the 1-yard-line cost him two games against Arizona and San Francisco. And it's likely a part of the reason LeSean McCoy no longer plays in Philadelphia.
But I will be surprised if Tebow ever takes a snap for the Eagles in a regular season game.
Then again, I'm still not sure you can't say the same thing about Sam Bradford.
