It takes a strong stomach to work at the Delco SPCA.

Actually, this Trooper is probably glad he's calling the SPCA home these days.
The badly emaciated dog was found wandering the streets of Darby with a shackle embedded in its neck.
It was in such bad shape the folks at the SPCA were not even sure what breed it was, since it was about half its ideal weight.
These situations keep popping up, and I know that when we put them on our website, the story will explode, as well as on social media.
It's obviously people have very strong feelings about animals.
I'm always amazed that we often get more reactions to something that happens to a defenseless animal than we do when something horrific occurs involving humans.
