The Daily Numbers for Tuesday, Sept. 15 (Eagles Edition)

The Daily Numbers: 26-24 loss for the Eagles in prime time to the Falcons in Atlanta.

44 yard field goal missed by Cody Parkey with 2:30 left that would have given the Birds the lead.

1 bobbled catch by Jordan Matthews that resulted in an interception and sealed the Eagles’ fate.

16 rushes for 63 yards for the Eagles.

8 rushes for 9 yards for DeMarco Murray.

3 rushes for 4 yards for Ryan Matthews.

50 yards rushing for Darren Sproles.

36 of 52 for Sam Bradford in his 1st game in nearly 700 days. He was much better in the 2nd half than the 1st.

1 TD pass and 2 interceptions for Bradford.

9 catches for 141 yards and 2 TDs for Falcons standout wide receiver Julio Jones, often burning stud free agent acquisition Byron Maxwell.

71 million dollar deal signed by Jones in the offseason.

23 of 34 for 298 yards for Exton native and Falcons QB Matt Ryan.

4 field goals made for Falcons kicker Matt Bryant.

20-3 halftime deficit for the Eagles, which they wiped out in the 2nd half.

1 yard short, what Ryan Matthews came up on crucial 3rd down play late in the game. Chip Kelly decided to kick the go-ahead field goal, and Parkey’s effort sailed wide right.

4 straight possessions at start of game that ended in punts for Eagles.

6 first downs and 8 yards rushing in 1st half for Birds.

95 yards drive over that overcame a series of penalties by Bradford in 4th quarter.

10 catches for 102 yards for Jordan Matthews, but it’s his one bobble that ended in interception late that everyone will remember.

13 plays for the Birds in that impressive drive.

2 straight years Eagles found themselves down 17 at the half.

17-0 deficit they overcame last year to beat the Jags.

Call me a Phanatic: A look at the ups and downs of being a Philadelphia sports fan.

The Eagles looked very much like a team that had been taken apart and put back together, especially in the 1st half, when you had to wonder if Bradford ever played with Josh Huff and Zach Erts. Fact is they did very little in game situations in preseason.

I Don’t Get It: So much for the preseason. Anyone think the Eagles looked like a 3-1 juggernaut last night, especially in first half.

Today’s Upper: Kudos to Sam Bradford. He overcame a rough 1st half and showed why Kelly traded for him in 2nd half, at one point going 20 of 22.

Quote Box: “I told the guys at halftime it was a tale of two halves. We played a lot better in the second half.”

- Chip Kelly, after disappointing Eagles loss.
