We used our editorial page today to talk about the financial recovery plan for Chester Upland School District approved by Delaware County Judge Chad Kenney.
The plan reduces the amount the district will reimburse local charter schools for special education students, wipes out the previous debt owed to the charters, and calls for another huge infusion of new state revenue to make up for chronic underfunding of the troubled district.
It's a good plan.
But now comes the hard part. The district needs to make this work.
It might be their last chance.
