There's some good news and bad news for U.S. Senate hopeful Joe Sestak.
The former 7th District Congressman and retired admiral so far is managing to fend off a challenge from "insider" Katie McGinty in their battle for the Democratic nomination and a shot at a rematch with U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey.
The latest Public Policy Polling survey shows Sestak with a 7-point lead, with 29 percent backing him, to 22 percent for the former chief of staff to Gov. Tom Wolf, and 14 percent for Braddock Mayor John Fetterman.
The bad news?
Another poll by the same group shows Sestak continues to trail Toomey.
The latest PPP poll shows Toomey getting backing from 41 percent of those polled, to 38 percent for Sestak and 21 percent not sure.
