OK, let the second-guessing begin.
I am guessing there might be a lot of people doing a double-take when they glance at the front page of our print edition today.
No, we did not lead with the latest mass shooting, another unthinkable event that left 14 dead and 17 wounded in San Bernardino, Calif.
You'll get no argument from me that it is a very important story.
But it's not OUR story.
Scott Jones is. He's the Aston firefighter killed in a car crash last weekend. We led with a story by Rose Quinn that details the family's desire that all those attending his funeral this weekend bring a toy. Jones was a Marine and one of the projects he was intimately involved in was the annual Toys For Tots campaign.
Thus our front-page headline: Toys for Scott.

We can't forget about innocent people who had to die for some reason unknown at this time. Let the world papers handle that or USA Today.
