Leave it to Shady McCoy to steal the spotlight from his replacement, DeMarco Murray.
We could have spent the entire week debating whether Murray went over his coach's head in telling Eagles owner Jeff Lurie he was not happy with the way he was being used, in particular in Sunday's win over the Patriots.
Nothing quite like bemoaning your personal situation minutes after one of the team's biggest wins in recent history, one that was especially meaningful for the native New Englander Lurie.
We could talk about whether Murray is the best back on this team, and if he fits Chip Kelly's vaunted system.
Enter Shady.
The all-time leading rusher in Eagles' history met the media last night and immediately lit a match to the smoldering embers of his ugly exit from the team.
First, McCoy said in a radio interview that he had no intention of taking back comments made when he was traded to the Bills that Kelly was getting rid of all the team's best players, in particular black players.
Yesterday, in his weekly media availability, McCoy said he had no intention of shaking Kelly's hand on Sunday. You can get the blow-by-blow here.
At this point I think it's appropriate to steal a line from another football diva, Terrell Owens.
"Get your popcorn ready."
If the Shady-Kelly feud was not enough, Murray is expected to talk to the media this afternoon.
Just call it "As the Eagles Turn."
