Today is Giving Tuesday.
It's a day when we are asked to remember the true spirit of the holiday and contribute to many of the social service agencies who provide critical services.
Can I make a suggestion?
Why not kick into our annual holiday fund drive, The Merry Christmas Fund. All proceeds from this effort go toward the good works of the Salvation Army in Chester.
As has been the case in the past few years, donations are off to a slow start. With just the first few donations starting to trickle in, out total is only $275. This year we are looking to fill the coffers of the Salvation Army to the tune of $50,000.
Every person who makes a donation will be mentioned in the paper.
