No snow, but rain is making roads a mess

Just keep telling yourself it could be worse - all this rain could be snow.

Then again, if you turn on your TV this morning, you would be inundated with reports of a possible winter weather alert - if you happen to be commuting in the Poconos.

What we're getting is rain - lots of it.

And it is making the morning commute a mess. Maybe people have totally forgotten how to drive in bad weather since snow so far this winter has merely been a rumor.

There have been several crashes on the Blue Route this morning, making a mess out of the morning commute. Overturned vehicles have been reported in the southbound lanes, south of the Baltimore Pike Media-Swarthmore exit, as well as in the northbound lanes near the Broomall exit.

There is no word yet on any injuries.

Here is a word of caution. Driving this morning is going to be a mess. Allow some more time to get to your destination.
