Yesterday we noted the latest in the sad, tawdry tale of Colwyn Borough.
State Auditor General Eugene DePasquale released an audit that revealed nearly $90,000 in either undocumented or unauthorized expenses at the Colwyn Borough Fire Company.
We also checked in with Delaware County District Attorney Jack Whelan, who has been directing investigations of his own, both of the fire company and the borough's books.
Today we used our editorial page to note that Colwyn residents - and in effect all Pennsylvania taxpayers, since much of the fire company's funding came from state revenue - deserve a full accounting of the borough's muddled finances.
We expect to hear from Whelan any day now.
We can't wait.
