It is one of our New Year's traditions here at the Daily Times.
Every year our sports columnist extraordinaire Jack McCaffery examines the 365 days that went before and selects the person who has had the greatest impact on the Delaware County sports landscape.
This year Jack has a gem, from a legendary Delaware County family.
The award goes to longtime NBA official Joe Crawford, from Delco's first family of sports officiating.
You can read all about it here.
Jack also has some news. Joe, who has been battling some health problems, will be hanging up his whistle at the end of this season.
Not content with lording over the Delco sports scene, Jack also has compiled a list of those who made an impact on the Philly sports scene. Not surprising, Jack knows who 'Rhuled' in Philly. Add another honor for the Temple football program and head coach Matt Rhule. It's here.
