DeNiro does Delco

All together now: "Are you talking to me?"

Yes, I will admit I was a bit taken aback when I learned yesterday that famed actor Robert DeNiro was going to be in Delco today to open a new liquor store, of all things.

Maybe they made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

DeNiro is not exactly a stranger. He was here to film scenes for "Silver Linings Playbook," playing Bradley Cooper's father and a devoted Eagles fan.

As it turns out the young Vito Corleone will be here to promote his own line of vodka called VDKA 6100. At the same time he will help open the brand new state Fine Wine and Good Spirits store out in Glen Mills. Yes, we used to call those state stores. This sounds so much more upscale.

It's not privatization, but hey, I don't see any of those outlets down in Delaware getting Robert DeNiro to grace their facilities. At any rate, they're expecting a huge crowd to line up early at the store for the chance of actually getting a meet-and-greet with the famed actor.

You can get all the details here.

We'll be there to let you know how it goes as well.
