Animal control issue in Delco not going away

We used our editorial page today to talk about a lingering problem in Delaware County - animal control.

Here’s where we stand: The county’s deal with the Brandywine Valley SPCA is going away, terminated as of June 1.

So is the county Animal Protection Board, which was set up to come up with a solution after the Delco SPCA got out of the animal control business a few years back.

Guess what is not going away? Stray animals. Lots of them.

The county needs a solution.
