It's free coffee all day at Wawa!

Here's the question of the day: Our friends at Wawa - you know, the company named for the goose that calls Delco its home - is giving away free coffee all day as part of their anniversary celebration.

That's right, you can snag a free coffee all day at Wawa.

Every day at lunch I walk over to the Primos Wawa, conveniently located just a block away, and grab a 12-ounce coffee.

Today, I admit I will get a large. I might even wander over there a little early so I can savor that Wawa brew all day.

So the question is this: Since all coffee is free at Wawa today, why would anyone get a small?

Wawa estimates it will give away 1.7 million cups of coffee across its convenience store empire, which of course started with a single store on MacDade Boulevard in the Holmes section of Ridley Township, and now stretches all the way to Florida.

Wawa now operates 645 stores in Pa., New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and Florida.

You know you're from Delco if you know that Wawa is the Native American word for the Canada goose, as well as the village out on Baltimore Pike where the original Wawa family farm was located.

Take that, Sheetz!
