Villanova prof makes wrong kind of headline

Probably not the best week for this to happen.

While Villanova is making national headlines as the Wildcats take part in the Final Four in Houston, back here on the Main Line a professor was making another kind of headline.

Professor Chris Haas, a longtime history prof on the campus, has been charged with being in possession of hundreds of images of child porn.

Actually, Haas had been on the radar of the feds for a few years for his online activities. But when he allegedly used a computer on campus to access the stuff, campus police notified the township police and the D.A.'s office. Together with the feds, the raided Haas' home and found the cache on his home computer.

You can get all the details here.

And yes, I have to admit I felt bad that this would happen this week, of all times. I know, I know, that's not supposed to figure into it. News is news, right.

Well, I'd be lying if I told you the thought did not cross my mind. It was the first thing I thought of, definitely not the week for this to happen.
