Welcome to Primary Day 2016

The time for talking is over. Thank God.

The ads are almost over.

Maybe we can even stop hearing Donald Trump describe John Kasich's eating habits. Yes, we've gotten to that point.

We are now less than 30 minutes away from the opening of polls in Pennsylvania.

Voters here in Delaware County will be casting votes both for candidates for president, as well as the crucial delegates tied to each candidate.

Democrats also will be selecting among three candidates in a battle to face incumbent Republican U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey. Among the trio is former 7th District Congressman Joe Sestak, who lost a close vote to Toomey six years ago.

Also on the ballot will be races contests on both the Democratic and Republican ballots for candidates for state attorney general, to replace troubled Kathleen Kane.

There are two races in Delco that should be noted.

Voters in the 9th District actually will be electing a new state senator. Republican Tom Killion, a longtime state rep, faces Democrat Marty Molloy, in a battle to fill the seat vacated by Dominic Pileggi, who left the Senate and won a seat on the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas. The two then will tangle again in the fall general election. Don't ask why, it's just the way it is.

If you're looking for maybe the most hotly contested race in the county, keep an eye on Upper Darby, where incumbent state Rep. Margo Davidson, D-164, is facing another challenge from her own party. Upper Darby Councilperson Sekela Coles is looking to knock out Davidson and advance to the November general election.

We'll be following what is going on all day long.

You can get in on the action as well by using the hashtag #vote2016.

Tell us what you see out there.
