A salute to Springfield Township, and all those lost in the 'Forgotten War'

We used our editorial page today to offer a salute to Springfield Township and the Holloway family for their efforts to honor a native son who was killed in the Korean war.

Actually, the body of Frank Holloway was never recovered. He was listed as missing in action in Korea in 1953 and officially declared killed in action a year later.

Frank Holloway II never met his namesake. He was born after his father shipped out to the Korean peninsula.

The Korean conflict is sometimes referred to as the Forgotten War.

Not in Springfield Township.

Good for them.
