Speaking of the archdiocese, they are back on the editorial page today.
They seem to be the "silent partner" in this grand debate we're having in the county about open space.oday.
The fact is the county does not own the Don Guanella tract. Neither does Marple Township, nor the activists such as Save Marple Greenspace, who want to preserve it, to make sure they don't pave paradise.
It's owned by the archdiocese, and the last we heard, they have not wavered from their stated position - they want to find a buyer and maximize their financial opportunity.
